Renewing and Running round

It has been a long while sense I updated. Sorry. We have been busier than ever.

Ben got a NEW JOB! 

and he loves it. He now works at Williams Communications in Tallahassee, as a radio/lights technician. He also helps with programing radios, and all sorts of other "nerdy" stuff. He is loving working there, and getting paid to basically play around at his hobby. 

He also works 8-5 (most days) and he gets weekends off! For those of you that don't know...THIS IS A BIG DEAL! With EMS he was gone for 24 hours at a time 3 days a week. He still does EMS part time, and still has a love for saving lives, but I think he has found his true calling. His nerd side has truly come out for the world to see. :) 

Also, we have gotten better at our "routine." We cook together a lot (even if it is sandwiches or hotdogs.) Ben is even driving my car to and from Tallahassee, to save on gas. He hates being away from his baby (the truck) and switch his stuff over to drive it whenever possible. 

I (Leah)  have got to spend some quality friend time lately with some of my best friends, well we usually throw it together in an hour of no planning and it turns out to be an awesome time. We have fun no matter what we do. We are all really busy with school and work, so it is such a great stress reliever! 

Oh yes, we also finally got out pictures from the reception from the fabulous PICTURE LADIES! www.picture ladies.com They turned out awesome. We are only gonna post a few for now. There are so many good ones.

I am a blessed gal! We have wonderful family and friends! I am so happy to know that I have such a wonderful husband, and the best is yet to be! :)

Busy Bass

 Wow! It has been pretty busy around here the past couple weeks! In the words of my sweet mama "Y'all aren't just playing house anymore." We are always on the go, but we have a good time. With me back in school and work and house work to get done...We stay busy. We have been trying to get things done around the house. It is coming along. We will post pictures soon. Our neighbors keep us on our toes with getting the yard done. Their yards are always perfect. I swear it must get mowed and perfected by fairies while we sleep! :) Ben does a great job keeping the yard looking nice. We did quite a bit of yard work on Saturday. We mowed. Trimmed hedges. Weeded flowers. and Sweated!! With the help of one of our favorite little buddies Mannie, we managed to get it all done.

Ben's dad has had a hat like this for years, so Ben asks he dad where he can get one because they are sooo stylish and awesome. So Mr. Phillip (Ben's dad) just gives him one of his. Ben wears it ALL OF THE TIME!! So sweet....

Even though we get pretty busy, we make time to have fun! We love to play LIFE! I got to win this game, but Ben usually beats me!!

and of course we ALWAYS make time to eat some yummy dinner. Ben says I have become a good cook...I think he just has to say that. :) 

We are still having the time of our lives!

Another new Bass?

We have a new addition to our little family! We got a new 12 week old puppy. We named her Daisy. We adopted her from the Bainbridge Animal Shelter today and she is precious. She already adds so much joy to our home, well when she is not peeing or pooping all over the place. :/  She is completely obsessed with Ben. Follows him everywhere.

Today also makes 4 weeks that we have been married! I count my blessings every single day, and Ben is always one of them! 

My favorite quote (of the moment) is "Every love story is beautiful, but ours is favorite."

I am so grateful that we get to live our love story everyday!

A Little of Lately

Lately: 

1. Laundry: oh so much laundry. Being married has opened my eyes to all those years that my Mama washed, dried, & folded all of our clothes. Thanks Mom! Now can you please come over and help me hang some clothes! ;) Oh and the hangers...I think I may have bought walmart out, we have so much clothes.

2. Cooking: Wow it takes a lot more effort than I thought to actually decide what to have, then on to figuring how to cook it. Thank goodness Ben has complete patience with me.

3. Work&School: Figuring out work and school schedules is quite complicated at times. One of us here today the other somewhere else, 24 hour shifts and tests and it goes on...

But, somehow we make it all work. We stay pretty busy, but we also have some pretty awesome people in our lives that help make everything a little easier. Ben helps me keep my head on straight and I am so grateful for him. That's it for now. Have fun! 

New Everything.

So I am new to this whole blogging thing. I am also new at a whole lot of other things. New at being married. New at being a citizen of Calhoun County. New at not living all the way in God's Country (Blue Creek). New at signing BASS. New at doing lots and lots of laundry. New at having our own home. New at being a wife. New at everything.
We have been married almost 3 weeks, and we are having a blast. I am so glad that Ben and I found each other. He is the greatest. He makes everyday better. I am excited to see what eternity brings for us.

Also, I wanted to make a public shout out to the worlds greatest family for all of their hard work at making Ben & I and Adam & Erin's reception and weddings fabulous! Especially, our beautiful hardworking Mama. She worked tirelessly at making everything perfect...and she did! Everything was just as great as we could have ever imagined. I have awesome parents. I am grateful to them for teaching me everything I know and making me amazing. :) They really are great parents, and I owe them everything. Ben too has great parents and family that helped to shape him into the wonderful man I love and for that I am grateful to them. He is the best provider and husband I could possibly have. I love him with all my heart. Here's to forever!!
